Henry Kyanda - Chief Executive Officer and Trust Secretary

He was appointed Chief Executive Officer and Trust Secretary in 2006. He holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Strategic Management and a Bachelor’s degree in International Business Administration (Finance). He has extensive experience in the pensions industry having previously worked as the Principal Pensions Officer at The Kenya Power and Lighting Company Limited. Prior to joining Kenya Power and Lighting Company Limited, he worked in the investment management industry. His experience cuts across Pensions, Banking and Investments spanning over 15 years.

Steve Mathuka - Manager, Pensions Administration

He joined Kenya Power Pension Fund in 2006. He has over 19 years’ experience in human resource management and pensions administration. He holds a Master of Business Administration (Strategic Management), a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, a Higher Diploma in Human Resource Management and a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering. In addition he is a member of Institute of Human Resource Management (IHRM).

Edwin Kiprono - Manager, Finance

He joined the Fund in June 2015. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Accounting from University of Nairobi. He has over 10 years of experience in Finance and Accounting fields. He is a Certified Public Accountant of Kenya (CPA-K) and a member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountant of Kenya (ICPAK).

Joseph Mitito - Senior Property Officer

He joined Kenya Power Pension Fund in March 2012. He has over 10 years’ experience in Property management, valuation and Project management. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Land Economics and a post graduate diploma from the Institution of Surveyors of Kenya. He is also member of Institution of Surveyors of Kenya (M.I.S.K), Registered and Practicing Valuer and Estate Agent (RV & REA). Prior to his appointment at Kenya Power Pension Fund he worked as an Associate Director at Njihia Muoka Rashid Co. Limited.

Amos Ndung'u - Senior Finance and Investments Officer

He joined Kenya Power Pension Fund in April 2012. He has over 7 years’ experience in treasury management, finance and investments. He has a Master of Business Administration (Finance) and a Bachelor of Science in Actuarial Sciences. He is also a Certified Public Accountant of Kenya (CPA K). In addition he is also a member of Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya (ICPAK). Prior to his appointment at Kenya Power Pension Fund, he worked as a Treasury Accountant at Kenya Airways.

Susan Nguyo - Senior Pensions Officer

She joined Kenya Power Pension Fund in May 2015. She has over 16 years in handling Pension Scheme Administration, Group Life Assurances and Compliance. She holds a Bachelor of Arts (Human Resources) Degree, and an Advanced Diploma in Insurance (ACII). Prior to her appointment at Kenya Power Pension Fund she worked as a Consultant at Alexander Forbes Financial Services.

Martha Simiyu - HR & Administration Officer

She joined Kenya Power Pension Fund in 2006. She has over 16 years’ experience in Pension Administration and Human Resources management. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration (Management), Higher Diploma in Human Resource Management and a Diploma in Business Administration. She is a member of the Institute of Human Resources (IHRM).

Joyce W. Njuguna - Fund Accountant

She joined Kenya Power Pension Fund in April 2009. She has over 9 years’ experience in finance and investments. She holds an MBA in Strategic Management from the University of Nairobi and Bachelor of Business Administration Degree (Accounting option) from Maseno University. She is also a Certified Public Accountant of Kenya (CPA K) and a member of Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya (ICPAK).

Jeremiah Gichiri - ICT Officer

He joined Kenya Power Pension Fund in September, 2009. He has over 8 years’ experience in Information and Communication Technology. He holds a Bachelors of Science degree in Electronics and Computer Engineering from JKUAT. He has CCNA and MCSE certifications. He is also a fellow of the Computer Society of Kenya.

Christopher Ngulu - Pensions Officer

He joined Kenya Power Pension Fund in 2007. He has over 9 years’ experience in Pensions Administration. He has a Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce, major in Human Resource Management (Free State University, SA) and a Higher Diploma in Human Resource Management (IHRM).

Joan Nekesa - Accounts Assistant

She joined Kenya Power Pension Fund in 2009. She has over 7 years’ experience in finance and Investment. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce from JKUAT.

Gregory Okoth - Assistant ICT Officer

He joined Kenya Power Pension Fund in April 2012. He has over 7 years’ experience in Information and Communication Technology. He holds a B.Sc. Computer Science from Kenyatta University. Prior to his appointment at Kenya Power Pension Fund he worked as a Network Operations Centre (NOC) Engineer at Access Kenya Group.

Vivian Ng'eny - Assistant Pensions Officer

She joined Kenya Power Pension Fund in March 2012. She has over 7 years’ experience in customer service, marketing and sales. She holds Bachelor’s degree in Arts, Communication & Sociology (UoN).N. Prior to her appointment at Kenya Power Pension Fund she worked as a sales representative at EABL.

Stephen M. Mutuku - Assistant Property Officer

He joined the Fund in July, 2015. He holds a Bachelors’ degree in Real Estate from the University of Nairobi. He has over 3 years of experience in Real Estate. He is a Graduate Member of the Institution of Surveyors of Kenya (ISK).

Janet Mrombo - Administrative Assistant

She joined Kenya Power Pension Fund in 2012. She has over 5 years’ experience in customer service and front office operations. She holds a Diploma in Business Information Technology (IAT).Prior to her appointment she worked as an administrative assistant at KPLC.

Jared Otieno - Pensions Clerk

He joined Kenya Power Pension Fund in 2010.He has over 4 years’ experience in pensions administration. He holds a Diploma in Human Resource from University of Nairobi.

Kipngetich Cheruiyot - Administrative Clerk

He joined Kenya Power Pension Fund in September, 2014. He has over 2 year experience in administrative duties, transport and record keeping management. Has a certificate in business management. Currently pursuing a diploma in business management.

The Fund participated for the third time in the Investment Awards 2016 organized by Think Business Ltd.

During the Award Presentation Ceremony held on Friday 28th October 2016 at the Windsor Golf & Country Club, the DC Fund bagged 2 Trophies (1st runners up in the Not for Profit category and 2nd runners up in the IFRS category) and the DB Fund b
